Gonna work. Jack. It's like, art. I have no idea what truck's talking about. I will talk about it. I know, Trump wrote about it in his newsletter as well. And then we'll see with timing. There were a few AMA questions from the Telegram group. We'll see. We'll try our best to answer a few of those as well at the end. Oh, we will. We'll we're gonna answer some. Hold on. I got meme of the week here. Gone. Friend. Who has been on a heater by the way? Every single thing that sort of puts up puts up now. I guess 20,000,000 views or 10,000,000. This one killed me. For the listeners, That's good. Our friend, uh-uh, a fellow designer like Jack, he wrote a he makes break big product features. We had them on last summer. Thank you so much for coming. This one is called Netflix. Skip the foreplay feature. Removes naughty scenes to make family movie night less awkward. And then he shows this feature, and and he's such a good designer that it looks like a Netflix thumbnail, and then it lets you skip any sex scenes. And this thing went nuclear. And I will tell you from my own random life. I used to rent movies from blockbusters. We watched it for family, but we rented, like, alt fiction and, like, basic instinct, which is like not family friendly. Family friendly. So when I saw this, instant retweet. It was just too real, but, that's shut up. Me one of the women. You need that as a in a Pakistani household, the amount of times people will be drawing for that remote control. There's Jack, have you seen, goodness gracious me? I think we've talked about it. Yeah. Of course. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Classic British comedy on the BBC It was the first time brand people were kinda on a BBC, like, it was a comedy skits, and they had this amazing, like, kind of skit where it was about, they would always say, this dial is very nice so that you're watching TV. Somebody comes on TV. You have to change the subject, but that is man. That is a brilliant piece of,
Version, obviously, you know, on my tree land block. Right? But man, when I left that place, I think I was there for 4 years and I had this great neighbors like he's a he's an entertainment lawyer and his wife was a was an actress. And as I left, they just had a baby. And they, like, came to say bye to me or whatever. And then as I was leaving, they were like, oh, by the way, have they rented out your place yet? And I was like, no. Why? Do you know? You got like someone who needs it or something? She's like, well, since we've had the baby, our dog has been getting our dog's been getting jealous. So we were thinking about maybe taking that and like renting it so he could use it. And I was like, what the are you I'm a grown man, been living in the studio my whole damn adult life here, and you're gonna have a dog living in it. So anyway, that just reminded me of that, man, because that studio like this had a second room just for the dog. I mean, they didn't, but they were contemplating paying several $1,000 a month for a tiny little studio just so that their dog could run around. The same place where I was living, which is pretty terrible. Anyway, so, go on try and get your new one more time. We're not done yet. No. I'm gonna I got one more thought and it's to round this out. We're talking about laughing at the memes. Okay? So New York had a 5 earthquake. You have to remember on the Richter scale, when it goes to 5 to 6, that's a order of magnitude. It's 10 times stronger. So a 5 to 7 is not 2 times stronger. Oh, it's just in terms of destruction because it's like Yeah. Yeah. It's a 100 times stronger, basically. So a 5 to an 8 is a 1000 times stronger. But anyways, the reason I bring all that up, karma for me laughing at all these memes on Friday will be Vancouver's waiting for the big one. Like we're all Dude, there's a New York article talking about how one of the biggest earthquakes waiting to happen is the Pacific Northwest. And, I shouldn't have liked all those memes, man. Yeah, man. Yeah. No. It got me think do you know in my office where I am right now, I have a bed that rolls
Incubator or the culture around all of this stuff. A lot of it has happened on Farcaster, and we talked about that a few weeks or months ago now where there was an explosion of use there and all of those sort of things that have been built over the last few months are now finally gaining traction. And some of the behavior from back in 2021 where you'd have just an explosion of activity around, different collections, different ideas, there's some, like, the beginnings of that starting to happen. On parallels. Yeah. And it's also kind of taken some of that, like, meme coin mimesis from Solana because of the cost as well. So there's been a few, a few of those deployed that have run up, like, I don't know, couple $100,000,000 market caps in a couple weeks. And there's a whole other ecosystem I think we'd need I need to get a little bit more clued up on before I talk about it, but there's this coin and this platform product slash slash thing called d gen that was that was incubated on Farcaster, which is like, primarily like this tipping mechanism. So they kind of found product market fit for this thing before the token was launched. So you would be building up a balance of this coin before the contract was deployed, and then this kind of retroactive airdrop happened. And I think that's the most, quote unquote successful token on base so far But, yeah, just seeing a lot more, creativity happening there because obviously lowering the barrier to entry economically is a huge, does a lot for getting people involved. And something about it being one layer of abstraction away from Ethereum does feel like more of the NFT culture specifically lives there versus, like, a Solana where
Fortunately, the most recent, like, spate of bad news was not as bad as that. Do you remember the 20 2019 was when we remember. That was when the Boeing Max 737, 2 of the planes crashed because of a software malfunction. You know how insane that is? Oh my god. Yeah. That's wild. It's sad. Right? Because going back to, like, we went to the museum of flight, Boeing helped get NASA and America onto the moon. Like this is their history. Right? They created the greatest, the most famous, jet air passenger airline in the 737, which kinda kicked off the age of air travel for commercial air travel. So like the history that these guys have is insane. And then just to see what happened in the last, call it, I don't know, 30 years, but here's the main thing that I would say, that I wanna flag. The negativity around Boeing has really gone back. People are tracing it. It's like you can simplify a lot of things, but people like to say that, oh, you know, x x thing at this year created this cascading effect, which led to all these negativities. But almost like across the board, you look at any media around Boeing and like what happened to Boeing, it all goes back to this massive merger they did in 1997. So give me one second. I wanna pull it up here. Yeah. Are you familiar with this merger? No. Not really. No. Okay. So, in I say not really. I mean, no, actually. That's the more accurate answer. That really was unnecessary. It's actually no. I don't know at all. Okay. So in, in 1997, Boeing merged with another aeronautical company called, McDonnell Douglas. Mc McDonnel, not McDonald's. Right?
For ME that went to basically the fastest It's a meme coin. Slurf is a meme coin. Let's make that. What's the market cap there? It's like every day was going there was a new one and it was going to a $1,000,000,000 which is wild. Market cap, I don't even know. What Jack, do you have a new idea? You wanna pull the price chart? Let's give you what I'm talking about, boy. We're all over the place here. Let's go slur. Let's go slur. 500 mil, I think. Something like that. Okay. Okay. You you wanna know what's so funny? We in the YouTube comments last week, we had a a wake me commenter shout out. Appreciate you. He's like, why don't you guys just tell us what the name of these meme coins are? Like, we're all adults here. Oh, yeah. I understand. I replied to my talking about it on this podcast. It's yeah. It's too late. All good. I did. Yeah. Yeah. Well, first of all, it would have already been 24 hours late. Right? Like, on time wise, on top of the fact that we're already late. So, like, you're, like, 96 hours in at that point. That's probably the main reason. That's the whole cycle has already passed. You know? I sent you guys that the the different phases of the cycle. But with meme coins, they're basically just every 4 hours. That's repeating. So that's So let's just tell to to Wagmi, YouTube, we appreciate you listening and commenting. That's probably the real reason why. It's just like this moves way too fast. Like, this isn't like Buffett saying buy and hold Coca Cola for 3 decades. Right? Yeah. Yeah. And to be very honest as well, we also don't wanna be irresponsible right now because I think we also have no idea what we're doing. Like, that's the main reason. And yeah. Like, obviously, everyone can make their own decisions, and I'm sure you already are. But we don't wanna be pumping stuff that we know is a bit stupid right now. So let's let's like you said, Jack, good shout. Let's keep it organized. Let's start with what's happening with Slurf as an example of the mania. Slurf. Yeah. The mania that we're seeing in the markets right now. The day we're we're recording Tuesday, March 19th. By the time this comes out, it's Wednesday morning. So it could literally be 0 by the time you listen. Yeah. Or or bigger than Nvidia. Like, it I I don't even know. Right? And today was obviously, there was a little bit of a drawdown in the market, so things have dropped significantly. But go on go on, Jack. What what what are you seeing?
